Our Engineering and Environmental Services Group strives to provide quality, cost-effective environmental consulting and testing services. The Engineering and Environmental Services Group includes qualified personnel in testing, sampling and analysis of paints for lead concentration as well as assessment and observation of lead-based paint. Our staff is also trained in a full range of asbestos identification and management services consisting of facility surveys and assessments, abatement design, abatement monitoring and laboratory analysis.
The Engineering and Environmental Services Group can provide a full range of environmental site assessment services ranging from "due diligence" assessments for real property transactions to sampling and testing. In a "Phase I Environmental Site Assessment," our tests are conducted in general accordance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard E 1527-05 and encompasses four components: records review; site and surrounding property reconnaissance; interviews with property owners and occupants and the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Report. A "Phase II Environmental Site Assessment" is performed as necessary for specific site requirements based on conditions identified during the Phase I ESA and typically includes development of preliminary and secondary investigation plans; collection and analysis of soil, water, groundwater and air samples; installation of soil borings for collection of soil samples; installation of temporary piezometers for collecting groundwater samples and installation of permanent groundwater monitoring wells.
This Group is not restricted to just the above listed areas. We also have the capability to provide indoor air quality testing and assessment (covering both airborne and microbiological contaminant sampling and analysis); underground storage tank assessment and management; above ground storage tank assessment and management and storm water permitting.
UTS has extensive experience in Engineering and Environmental Services and since we are a small firm with controlled overhead, we are able to offer our services on a timely and cost effective manner.
